The April 8, 2008 meeting of the Delhi Township Veterans Association was called to order by
Commander Donald Osterfeld at 7:30 p.m.

Commander Osterfeld welcomed all present and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
A Moments of Silence was observed for Colerain Fire Fighters Robin Broxterman & Brian Schira.
     The roll call of the officers was held and a quorum was established.  Treasurer Burke, Trustee King,
&Trustee Chisholm were absent.

There were 24 members and guests present at the meeting.

     There was a motion for the Journal of the Minutes to be approved. The motioned was 2nd and passed.
There were 2 bills that were announced or passed by the Board
    The treasurer’s report was read, approved and filed for audit.        
     The secretary’s report was read, approved and filed.

Issues discussed at Meeting:       
a.        Matt Maupin’s visitation and funeral April 26
b.        On Line help for the Vet Pension Program
c.        Member Bill Ferrel brought to the meeting a flag that was flown in the face of the enemy in
Afghanistan.
d.        Welcome Home Celebration May 17 Sat. 4-8pm. DTVA will have a display at the celebration.
e.        New Business: Kroger to allow us to sit out in front of store on weekends---dates: May 31 & June
1       10:30-5   Sat. & Sun.
      July 4, 5, & 6               9-4        Fri, Sat. & Sun
      Aug. 2 & 3                 10:30-5  Sat. & Sun
      Aug 30 , 03 & Sept 1   9-4         Sat, Sun & Mon
f.        Dinner @ Jim & Jacks Apr 24 6-8pm. Free to Veterans & Spouses. Donations from dinners will go to
MIA-POW. Dinners will be every 4th Thursdays of every month @ Jim & Jacks.
g.        Guest: Gary Schroeder, Delhi Administrator, talked about the grant program where civic
associations can apply for grants from corporations.

Motion was made and 2nd and then approved to give ½ of the split the pot proceeds to the Delhi Twp Fire
Dept. in memory of the Fire Fighters Robin Broxterman & Brian Schira.

             Motion was made and 2nd and passed to adjourn.
