Journal of the Meetings

      The February 12, 2008 meeting of the Delhi Township Veterans Association was called to
order by Commander Donald Osterfeld at 7:30 p.m.

Commander Osterfeld welcomed all present and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the
flag.
     The roll call of the officers was held and a quorum was established.  Trustee Chisholm was
absent.

There were 22 members and guests present at the meeting with 1 new member

     There was a motion for the Journal of the Minutes to be approved. The motioned was 2nd and
passed.
There was 1 bill that were announced and passed by the Board; to pay for the paint of the artillery
gun.
    The treasurer’s report was read, approved and filed for audit.        
     The secretary’s report was read, approved and filed.

Issues discussed at Meeting:       
a.        Memorial Day ceremony
b.        Tax Exempt and Kroger owing us money.
c.        Opening Day Ceremony for the Buckeye Tournament
d.        Grounds and maintenance of the Veteran Park—relationship between us and the township.
e.        Need a committee to help inspect the park and report discrepancies. Wash the monuments.
f.        Need ideas for fundraisers.
g.        Treasurer has the DVD
h.        Old Business: needing Color Guards & Honor Guards

Todd Sledge from the VA Hospital was the Guest Speaker and discussed Veterans’ Benefits. Todd
Sledge also mentioned that on May 17th (Armed Forces Day) from 4-8 Welcome Home Ceremony
@ Lunken Airport. 513-475-6943. www.cincinnatiwelcomehome.com. Free food and entertainment.
Mobile Health unit-take the unit across the Tri-State as a clinic for Veterans.
