Journal of the Meetings
The May 13, 2008 meeting of the Delhi Township Veterans Association was called to order by
Commander Donald Osterfeld at 7:30 p.m.
Commander Osterfeld welcomed all present and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
The roll call of the officers was held and a quorum was established. Trustee King &Trustee Morris
were absent.
There were 21 members and guests present at the meeting.
There was a motion for the Journal of the Minutes to be approved. The motioned was 2nd and
passed.
There were 0 bills that were announced or passed by the Board
The treasurer’s report was read, approved and filed for audit.
The secretary’s report was read, approved and filed.
Correspondence: A Thank You note from Chief Zoz from the Delhi Twp. Fire Dept. for the donation from
us.
Issues discussed at Meeting:
a. Kroger Date for Fundraisers & sing up for May 31 and June 1 10:30-5pm.
b. Presentation of the Memorial Monument painted by Pat Armstrong to the Delhi Twp. Board of
Trustees May 14.
c. Welcome Home Celebration May 17 Sat. 4-8pm. DTVA will have a display at the celebration.
d. Chain barrier for the KIA Monument being installed.
e. Veteran Name Directory Stand being installed.
f. Placard for the WWII M5 Anti-Tank Gun.
g. Purchasing a cabinet and Trophy case for our association’s awards, proclamations and displays.
h. Memorial Day Ceremony
i. Wall 5 replacement due to a vein running through the wall.
j. New Sign for the Police, Administration and Veteran Park.
Motion was made and 2nd and then approved to give the Commander the discretion to go ahead with the
selection of the KIA Chain barrier, Veteran name directory stand, and Gun Placard.
Motion was made and 2nd and passed to adjourn.
